The mountain is Armenia’s national symbol and Ararat is considered holy by locals due to its mention in The Bible – it is where Noah’s Ark landed.

Armenia is home to countless beautiful monasteries and they are often found in areas of truly outstanding natural beauty. Armenia’s capital, Yerevan, is one of the most rapidly developing cities in the whole of Europe as the nation continues to embrace tourism.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival in Zvartnots International Airport and transfer to hotel. Spend Mee time on own. 

Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.

Day 2: Yerevan City Tour

Breakfast at the hotel and Start city tour around Yerevan covering sightseeing of Republic Square, Opera House, Swan Lake, Visit Cascade Complex, an open-air modern art museum with famous exhibits, Climbing the huge stair you will get to Victory Park from where it opens a unique view of the city. Later proceed to Tsitsernakaberd Memorial dedicated to the victims of Genocide. Spend some leisure time to enjoy the evening on your own

Day 3:  Yerevan/ Garni/ Geghard/ Yerevan shopping

Breakfast at the hotel and Departure to Geghard Monastery, which is hewn out from the cave and included in the UNESCO World Heritage, Later proceed to Garni Temple from 1st c., the only preserved pagan temple in the region.

Drive back to Yerevan to visit Yerevan Food and Fruit Market complete with fresh vegetables and dried fruits, alleys of Armenian bread “lavash” and local sweets. Leisure time to enjoy the evening on your own or shopping

Day 4: Yerevan /Tsaghkadzor/ Sevan /Dilijan /Yerevan

Breakfast at the hotel and start your tour with ski resort town of Tsaghkadzor, translated as “flower valley”. Later departure to Lake Sevan “the Pearl of Armenia” and the 2nd highest mountainous lake in the world, Sightseeing on the peninsula. Visit Sevanavank Monastery and stunning view of the lake, proceed to a resort town of Dilijan, often referred to as the “Little Switzerland of Armenia’’. The mountainous areas are all covered with thick forests occupying 94% of the territory. Drive back to Yerevan.

Day 5: Departure

After Breakfast transfer to the airport. Departure home.
